The Heritage Foundation launched an online inflation calculator to help Americans understand how much prices have risen under the Biden-Harris administration.
The calculator, found at Myinflation.com, allows users to input monthly expenses such as rent, mortgage payments, and healthcare costs, tailored to their specific region. It then compares those costs to what they were under the Trump administration, providing a clear picture of the impact inflation has had on personal finances.
According to the Heritage Foundation, this tool is intended to make inflation more relatable by converting abstract percentages into dollar amounts that reflect individual spending habits. “Most people are seeing reports that inflation is coming down, and they’re not able to connect that to the cumulative change in prices that’s happened over the past four years,” said Parker Sheppard, director of Heritage’s Center for Data Analysis to the Daily Caller.
