President Donald Trump debuted his TrumpRx website at a launch event at the White House, alongside Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, National Design Studio Director Joe Gebbia, Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and others on Thursday. The site currently lists over 40 drugs at markedly lower costs than patients paying out of pocket, which President Trump dubbed one of the “most transformative health care initiatives of all time.”
The dozens of prescriptions cover a vast range of conditions including asthma, fertility and obesity. Cost-cutting savings include Ozempic retailing at $1028 per month to $199 per month with TrumpRx. On average, the administration’s savings range between 33 and 93 percent off the list price.
“We were essentially subsidizing the entire world and subsidizing by hundreds of billions of dollars every year,” Trump said. “The United States is just 4 percent of the world’s population and consumes only 13 percent of all prescription drugs…75 percent of the money they made came from the United States.”
According to the website, TrumpRX is a dynamic listserv of medications that drug manufacturers have agreed to discount under the “Most Favored Nation” (MFN) pricing. In addition to the negotiated discounts, citizens may also use TrumpRx to purchase prescription drugs in cash outside of traditional insurance frameworks. The direct-to-consumer drug platform is a free service for anyone to use and medical care providers can send prescriptions through the same pharmacy patients typically use where discounted pricing is available. The TrumpRx online service displays discounted drug pricing, but does not sell or dispense drugs, so clients should expect to access prescriptions through their typical process for obtaining medications. Certain medications are available through coupon offers displayed on TrumpRx, with the exception of certain specialty drugs.
This comes as part of the “Great Healthcare Plan,” which President Trump announced in January 2026. The plan calls on Congress to codify MFN pricing into law, compelling manufacturers to sell medications to the U.S. at the lowest price offered globally. The broader proposal also includes sending subsidies directly to Americans to purchase health insurance and demanding total price transparency to hold insurance companies accountable.
According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, healthcare cost Americans nearly $5.3 trillion in 2024, or approximately $15,474 per person, representing 18% of the GDP annually and remains a major pressure point to the average family. Reactions to the administration’s emphasis on healthcare transformation have already been pouring in, including from legendary boxer Mike Tyson.
GoodRx announced it would be a “key integration partner” for pharmaceutical companies looking to offer their products on TrumpRx, in a statement released by the telemedicine savings company.
“At launch, GoodRx is the integrated pricing source for Pfizer, including over 30 of Pfizer’s essential brand medications, along with other leading pharmaceutical manufacturers. Additional manufacturer integrations are expected to follow,” the company said.
The Trump Administration says it plans to expand discounted negotiations on drug costs as American consumers are expected to utilize the new service. (RELATED: Top Wisconsin Liberal Donor Mentioned in Epstein Files 2,000+ Times)
