The states where Trump leads are Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina. President Biden currently leads in Wisconsin by three points when including third-party candidates; however, the race is tied when matched head-to-head.
The poll indicates wide voter dissatisfaction with the national economy and concerns about President Biden’s current performance and a lack of confidence in his ability to carry out the job in the future.
While President Biden is facing challenges in declining support among Black, Hispanic, and young voters, Trump is viewed more favorably than Biden on handling the economy, immigration, and border security, according to the most recent New York Times/Siena poll.
Battleground-state voters have expressed a consistent sense of economic discontent, affecting their views of President Biden’s performance and their outlook on the election.
