An Oconomowoc mother has raised over $1.2 million for the family of Lindsay Clancy, the Massachusetts woman who murdered her three children and whose trial has gained national attention.
Brandee Mulligan, a mother and social media influencer, created a GoFundMe after watching Clancy’s 2026 murder trial and learning of the financial strain on Clancy’s parents. The fundraiser, which names Clancy’s father, Mike Musgrove, as beneficiary, has surpassed $1.2 million and increased its goal to $3 million. However, this GoFundMe can not be used for Lindsay Clancy’s legal fees.
The enormous display of financial support comes despite the horrifying circumstances surrounding the deaths of Clancy’s children: 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan. (RELATED:Tom Tiffany Survives Emergency Plane Landing in Lake Wausau)
Clancy does not deny killing the children inside the family’s Duxbury, Massachusetts, home on Jan. 24, 2023. She strangled all three with exercise bands in the basement before cutting herself and jumping from a second-story window in an apparent suicide attempt. The fall left her paralyzed.
Patrick Clancy testified that after returning home from an errand, he eventually entered the basement and first discovered Cora lying face down with an exercise band around her neck. He removed it, but she was unresponsive. Nearby was 8-month-old Callan, also with an exercise band around his neck. Patrick then searched for Dawson and found the 3-year-old in his office with another band around his neck.
Mulligan claims she has no connection whatsoever with the Musgrove family or Lindsay’s parents. According to Mulligan, Clancy’s parents had depleted retirement savings and other accounts while supporting their daughter over the roughly three-and-a-half years following the deaths of their grandchildren. Mulligan has vocally come out for Lindsay Clancy throughout the trial. Mulligan has made multiple posts on her Tik Tok account throughout the trial. She even went as far to say “This is a mom that wanted to do anything but hurt her kids,” Mulligan said in one post. “We are doing this because we see ourselves in Lindsey,” Mulligan said in another TikTok post.
A spokesperson from GoFundMe says that the terms of the fundraiser have remained within the terms set by the company. They remain about $1.8 million short of the $3 million goal.
